If you predominantly use Instagram on your smartphone, like most users, these are the steps you need to take to unfollow accounts:

Open Instagram (and log in if logged out) and use the search bar to find the account you wish to unfollow.

Tap the “Following” button, and a menu of options will appear.

Step 1: Open Your Instagram Profile

On the top right corner of your screen, you will see numbers labeled “Following” click on those numbers.

Scroll down the list of accounts to find an account you no longer want to follow. Press the “Following” button next to their name.

Step 4: Select “Unfollow”

If you do not wish to scroll through your following and you want to unfollow a specific account. Here is what you need to do:

Step 1: Open 

Go to your Instagram home page and log in to your account.

Step 2: Search for the username of the account to unfollow

Use the search bar in the top middle of your screen to write the username of the account you wish to unfollow.
